Cinco De Mayo 2007 Final Report
In honor of the leading goal scorer for the FSFC I present this
GAME 1 FSFC 3 vs HSA CG International 1
Game 1 began just like a typical FSFC match, except the opponents actually ran a lap as a team and then stretched as a team. This 6 Fading Stars that were on time for the game were expecting an arse beating. Well it didn't happen- After picking off their first pass of the game, the FSFC put on an arse beating. Multiple chances early on when Scottie rips a left footer from 25 out easily beating the keeper.
FSFC 1 CGI 0
Pretty quickly after that, Nate makes a run down to the end line, drops the ball to #19 at the 12 who rips a left footer to the far post easily beating the keeper and all defenders. Scottie decides it is best to deflect the rocket into the net giving the FSFC a commanding 2-0 lead before the half.
HALFTIME FSFC 2 HCG 0
The FSFC decide to protect the 2-0 lead and get the points over pressing and fucking up the chance at day 2. Easily in control of the game a ball gets played to Scottie who heads it over the charging keeper and the game is out of reach.
FSFC 3 Pre-game stretchers 0
Here is where the tournament is lost- In extra time, the houston team gets a free kick and David makes the save, Kblische tries to clear the rebound and hits the ball/foot of the other teams forward- Ball goes in the net, but Kblische paw is mangled and he is done.

GAME 2 FSFC 4 Medina United 1
Pre-game warm up for the FSFC this time was watching a blonde chick do hand stands. The punks from Medina United talked a good game, but were well overmatched. Quick summary as nothing stood out-

Semi Final FSFC vs Fubar
With the addition of two youngsters the FSFC have renewed legs at the start of the game. Young Nick rips the first shot and the keeper makes a good save. FSFC are running all over the FUBAR team that is missing its 3 only good players. The FSFC miss out on several good chances to put this one away early and can't get it done. Enter this guy.
He manages to get through on a ball late in the half and tucks in a goal. FSFC is down but not out

Scottie arrives from his hibernation in time to start the second half. And boy did he get up on the wrong side of his bear cave. He immedialtely begins to shit talk with the sweeper putting out such classics as "You are 21 and playing division 3 agains 3o year olds- You are big time" and "Dude I like your letter jacket"
Well the FSFC come out playing shitty- giving up at one point 5 straight corners. Unable to really control the ball due to shitty ground, pissing wind and shitty skills. It was a long second half as they controlled pretty much the whole thing. What few shots the FSFC get off the keeper is able to handle. No real charge is made and the FSFC's magical run ends .

Defensive MVP- Nate- in the semi's Nate blocked at least 15 shots, shut down Matisyahu and owned the mighty JD- All around outstanding play kid.
Real Offensive MVP- Scottie- guy plays like a fucking bull taking on Layne Frost. Guys is an animal that easily is the all time FSFC Cinco de Mayo scoring leader.
Foul of the Tourney- Nate 2 minutes before half of the semi-final game, Nate applied the man or ball rule of defense and absolutely destroyed one of the kids.
Hacker of the Tourney- Pblische- he has the two yellow cards to prove it. Congrats, Barnes is extremely jealous
Crawfish MVP- After conferring with the judges, Nate Payne takes home this title as well. His sucking the heads and licking the innards along with the poundage he put down, puts him as the crawfish slob of 2007.
Finally- Thanks to everyone for playing esp our guest goal tender David and our guest goal scorer Scottie. Thanks for the fun party and the kick arse weekend of soccer and booze. Now someone get over here and feed Hidalgo Jr
