Spring 2006 Game 2 Sunday Dec 18: The Comeback

NEYSO Specht Rd #17 SUNDAY
11:00 a.m. Team Peru 2 vs Fading Stars 3

First 70 minutes Team Peru 2 Fading Stars 0. (apologies for the black and white photo of the sweeper and stopper)
We got hammered, the midget stopper was running his mouth to any and everyone. We missed some opportunities and gave up a ton- next thing you know we are down 2 nil at halftime and things are bad, real bad- we are talking Migjet's 6 Arturro margaritas before 9 pm choice in pussy bad. Then it happens, the golden child arrives at halftime- he born with the silver spoon, he that thinks 20% is a bad Return on Investment, he that will overcome his surprisingly small penis to rise up and lead us to the promised land- Phil Jacobs MD gets off the plane and comes straight to the soccer pitch to make a halftime appearance and help save the day. Fast forward to the final 20 minutes...

Last 20 minutes:
The comeback begins with a simple transition play, forward #19 tracks to the defensive 18 and steals the ball passing to Woodard who pushes the ball forward well into Team Midget's defensive end and gets the ball to Romo- who lays off a sweet ball to ATP(alcohol, tobacco, porn) Darilek- Darilek blasts one top shelf from about the 18, leaving the goalie no shot to make the save- jogging back darilek admits it was pure luck- doubt it
Fading Stars 1 Team Midget 2
About 10 minutes left to play defensive fullback #3 for the midgets has the ball and Berardo attacks the #3 who makes a cute move to push the ball past Berardo- except #19 and Berardo set the punk up and #19 steals the ball and turns it up only to be whacked by #3- and be awarded a free kick at the 25. Darilek takes the free kick- sending a beautiful ball to the 6 where the Golden Child Jacobs makes a beautiful ass pass to Reza Jihad who buries another one top shelf over the keepers.
Fading Stars 2 Team Midget 2
Under 3 minutes to play now- Berardo wins a kick on the sideline about 40 yards or so out- Darilek runs the same fucking play and sends a beautiful ball into the box- and HOLY FUCKING CRAP Russ Woodard catches the ball cleanly on his beautiful shiny head and buries it upper 90- Woodard with the game winner with about 2 minutes left- Check and Mate Bitches

AUSTIN, Texas -- Austin police say they are investigating two separate cases of assault and robbery in downtown Austin that involve members of the Texas athletic department.
The incidents occurred Sept. 4 and Dec. 10. No charges have been filed, and names of those being investigated have not been released.
According to police, the incidents were an alleged armed robbery with an automatic handgun on Sept. 4 and assault and attempted robbery on Dec. 10.

Spring 2006 Game 1 Fading Stars demolish Rayados

11:00 a.m. Fading Stars vs Rayados 4-0

Despite a slow start to the game, Alan White walking up at kickoff to make a complete squad of 11, the Fading Stars pulled out a miracle 4-0 win. Led by the alarmingly accurate left boot of #19 the Stars were able to cruise to a 2-0 halftime lead. One Kevin Blische managed to sober up to make a spirited halftime appearance highlighted by a beautiful pass to Alan White- of course mr white missed the trap and the nearest defender made a spirited 100 yard dash to collect the ball from out of bounds. Reza "Jihad" Bin Laden scored on a beautiful header and then being the good teammate he is whiffed on an easy goal allowing the #19 his hat trick and an early dominating lead to the scoring title.

MVP- Jeff Romo- best ever first game appearance for a Fading Star
Goal of the Game- Reza's header- bullshit- my two left footed blasts easily
Defensive player of game- Jay King-- transition could play huge dividends offensively
Goat of the Game- Alan White and his missed trap with no one with in 30 yards of him
Snide comment of the game- "trap the ball alan"
