JEFF ALLAN MCGUIRE McGuire, Jeff Allan, age 51, died unexpectedly on January 12, 2008 in Vail, Colorado. Originally from Beavercreek, Ohio, he is a graduate of the ITT Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. A resident of San Antonio since 1979, he was an avid scuba diver, skier, hunter, golfer, and traveler; and a devoted father to his daughter Jennifer. He was an active member and former president of Los Amigos Ski Club, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Ski Council, South Texas Charities, and the San Antonio Martini Foundation. A gregarious free spirit, Jeff had a wide circle of friends. True to form, he died while on a ski trip with close friends at his side. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James L. McGuire of Beavercreek, Ohio. Survivors include his mother, Janice E. McGuire, of Tucson, Arizona; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer (Felton) and Ruben Gonzales of Shreveport, LA (both currently serving in Iraq); his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Susan McGuire of Las Vegas, NV; his sister and her husband, Jill and Tom Brown of Beavercreek, OH; two grandchildren, Megan and Marissa; one nephew and two nieces, Ryan, Jenae, and Chelsea; his significant other, Janet Hays; and a host of special friends who became his extended San Antonio family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Mission Park North Funeral Home, 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, TX. Reception plans will be announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to San Antonio Charities at South Texas Charities, Inc./PARTI, P.O. Box 792651, San Antonio, TX 78279, or
